The average, extremely safe rule of thumb is 2 lbs of ice per person for an four hour event. Most guest will average 2 drinks their first hour and 1 drink every hour after. Let's think about how the ice is being used other than drinks.
100 guests=200lbs of ice
If you are keeping drinks on ice then you will need approximately 10-20 lbs of ice per 20 people. Ice bins are a wonderful way to keep bottled beverages cold. Not to mention to keep an ice bucket with bottled water for your guest is always a refreshing gesture. Check out our rate page for ice bucket rental.
Let's Figure Out How Much Alcohol You Need
For a 4 hour event guest will average 2 drinks their first hour and then 1 drink every hour after that. We are looking at 5 drinks per guest.
100 Guests=500 drinks
Now that we know the number of guest you have, it's time to ask yourself what kind of drinks will I be serving to my guest or what would they prefer. Determining if you are going to have a limited menu or an open bar needs to be assessed. A specialty menu will keep cost lower for you by offering 4 to 7 different drinks for guest
